Welcome Kit for Immigrant Family: Donations NeededEarlier this year, Worthington UMC and St. John’s Episcopal Church partnered with Community Refugee and Immigrant Services to welcome an immigrant or refugee family to Columbus. This past week, we were informed that an eight-person extended family of three generations, ranging in age from 58 years-old to 2 years-old, will be arriving on Tuesday December 3 from El Salvador. It is our responsibility to collect items to prepare their new home.If you are able, please consider donating items to this Welcome Kit. Items can be delivered to WUMC Monday-Thursday, 9-3 pm or by special arrangement with Pastor Dom (dominic@worthingtonumc.com). Please view needed items and sign up to donate using this link: www.signupgenius.com/go/10C0F4FA9AE23A7F8C70-53199292-wumcst. Please share this information with anyone you think might be willing to donate. Thank you in advance for your generosity toward our newest neighbors as a reflection of Christ’s hospitality!

All Saints Memory TableOn Sunday, November 3, 2024, Worthington UMC will celebrate All Saints Sunday. On this day, we will remember all those who have revealed the love of God to us and who now rest in God’s eternal embrace. You are invited to bring a photograph or object that represents a person who has passed away to place on the memorial table that will be in Dixon Lounge. In doing so, we will represent and celebrate the “great cloud of witnesses” that continues to surround us. Objects can represent people who died recently or a long time ago – the purpose is to provide a space to acknowledge those who have impacted our lives so dearly and are no longer on this side of eternity. Please remember to take the object home with you before you leave.
Reminder that tomorrow (October 27) is Commitment Sunday. Please submit your commitment form online or bring it to the church during worship services. You can find both paper and online forms on our webpage:
