Who are we?

Worthington United Methodist Church (WUMC) is a vibrant 800-member United Methodist church located in Worthington, Ohio. WUMC is a member of the West Ohio Conference of the United Methodist Church. Within the West Ohio Conference, WUMC belongs to the Capitol Area North District.

Who Are We?

Worthington United Methodist Church is located in the heart of Worthington’s Historical District and is easily accessible from State Rt. 161 or US I-71. Our address is 600 High Street, which is 2 blocks south of the Worthington Green (at St. Route 161 and High Street) and across the street from the Worthington Post Office. Rev. Louise (Lou) Seipel is our Senior Pastor and Rev. Dominic (Dom) Short Mejia is our Associate Pastor; they have been leading the church since 2021. Rev. Callon Holloway is our minister in charge of our Northland Star Project. Read more about our pastors and other staff members here.

WUMC is a member of the Reconciling Ministries Network, and is dedicated to building a more diverse community of committed Christian servants. Our motto is “Open Hearts. Open Minds. Open Doors.”

What is the Reconciling Ministries Network?

The Reconciling Ministries Network (RMN) is an organization seeking the inclusion of people of all sexual orientations and gender identities in both the policy and practices of the United Methodist Church. RMN celebrates that LGBTQ+ persons are an expression of God’s diverse creation and exists to advocate for the affirmation of all of God’s children in the Church and the world.

  2. Spreading God’s word through witness, heartfelt outreach, and social justice

  4. Equipping one another through study, discipleship, and understanding to live out our faith in God through service and love
