Children’s programs develop friends and faith.
We welcome children in our worship services at all times! If children or families would like to participate in an age-appropriate activities during Sunday morning, we have a variety of options.
Vacation Bible School
VBS is available for children ages 3 (must be potty-trained) through incoming 3rd grade. We have developed our own curriculum based off of the movie The Wild Robot along with a Scripture theme, and we will be watching scenes from it each night to kick off our learning. As we dive deep into the theme of being “Built to love!”, we will use Bible stories, crafts, games, music and science lessons each day to learn and have fun!
Explorations Day Camp
Come join us for a day camp focused on serving our local community! Any incoming 4th grader through incoming 7th grader is invited to attend Explorations, July 28 through July 31. We will meet at the church each morning Monday through Thursday at 10am and finish our day back at the church for pick-up at 2pm. Each of these days will be mission and outreach focused. Serving others is a foundational aspect of our faith development! We will grow as a group in fellowship through giving back in various ways.
Children’s Church
During our 10am worship service, we offer children from 4 years to 3rd grade the opportunity to participate in Children’s Church. This children’s program tailors scripture readings, lessons, crafts and activities to be more approachable for our younger ones. This is offered year-round.
Sunday School for Children
We offer Sunday School for Pre-K through 6th Grade during our 9am worship service. We offer a Sunday School class for ages Pre-K-2nd grade that is focused on a weekly Scripture, games, crafts and fun activities. Our Sunday School class for 3rd Grade through 6th Grade is based on movies. We watch a movie over the course of a few weeks, having small group discussion based on the clip of the week and a Scripture lesson that ties it all together. Sunday school is offered during the school year and pauses in the summer. Our Sunday school rooms are on the 3rd floor of our building.
Nursery and Toddler Care
We offer childcare for newborns to age 3 in our nursery on the 3rd floor, alongside our Sunday school rooms. We offer childcare every Sunday from 8:45am-11:15am, so regardless of which service you attend, nursery care is open.
New Small Group Gathering for Families
This fall, parents of elementary school children are invited to participate in a small group designed to develop community and deepen relationships during this amazing but challenging time of life. We plan on meeting twice a month on Sunday evenings, with the first two September dates already set! Our first gathering will be on Sunday, September 8 at Selby Park from 4-6pm, with a potluck! We will provide the main dish (Raising Cane’s Chicken!) and we ask you to bring a side dish or a dessert.
Our second gathering will be Sunday, September 29 from 4-6pm, at the Worthington Estates Elementary playground/picnic area! Both locations have wonderful playgrounds and areas for the kids to play, and space for us to eat together. Both dates will serve as an introduction time to get to know each other and who may be interested. If you can’t make it to one, please join us for the other!
