Stewardship Campaign 2026

Dear Members and Friends,

The Apostle Paul, in his letter to the church at Corinth, reminds us of a profound truth: though we are many parts, we are one body in Christ. In 1 Corinthians 12:4-7, he writes, There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit. There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord. There are different kinds of working, but in all of them and in everyone it is the same God at work. Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good.

This beautiful passage captures the essence of Christian stewardship. It teaches us that our contribution to the church is not limited to a single form but comes in various expressions, all empowered by the Holy Spirit for the benefit of our community. Pastor Dom in his recent sermon made this important statement: “To discern your spiritual gifts, ask three questions: What are my deep passions? What need do I see in the church or community? What resources do I have to offer? At the intersection of your heart’s concerns, the world’s needs, and your resources, you will likely find your giftedness.”

On the Sundays of October, we will be hearing different members share what their spiritual gifts are, and how God is using them within and beyond the doors of Worthington. We trust that you will be inspired by their witness. At the same time, we hope you will spend time prayerfully seeking to discern your spiritual gifts by asking yourselves those important questions. We believe in doing so, you will indeed find your giftedness, and how God is calling you to use them for God’s purposes.

Included with this letter is a Commitment Form for 2026. There are places to indicate the amount you will pledge financially, as well as a spiritual gift you have to offer, so that Worthington can continue to make a positive difference in the lives of people in our community and beyond. These tangible expressions of our commitment to live our faith through our prayers, presence, gifts, service and witness are important. In that spirit, please bring your Commitment Form on Sunday, October 26, or feel free to mail it or drop it off in the office with full confidentiality. You can also fill out the information online. The link to the online version of the Commitment Form can be found at the top of that form, or on the website.

Please also remember that there are many ministries in our church through which you can invest your time and spiritual gifts. Hopefully you learned about many of them at our recent Ministry Fair. If the Spirit is calling you to serve in a particular way, please let us know.

In ministry with you,

Pastor Jennifer Casto
